In 1994, shortly after Poland regained its independence from communism and became a capitalist state, two brothers, Jerzy and Janusz Studzinski, saw an opportunity to start a window and door joinery business.
Building construction was booming in the entire region, so their business expanded with modern production lines, new technologies, and product innovation to meet Western appetites.
DAKO started attending all major trade shows like BATIBOUW in Brussels, ECO Build in Great Britain, or Made Expo in Italy. Global marketing activities intensified with soccer sponsorships exposing the DAKO brand to the crowds of Wembley Stadium in London or France during the qualifying round to the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Innovation awards followed in Poland, so international interest from a growing number of business partners coming on board from Asia, Africa, and the United States helped grow the DAKO brand globally, leading to thousands of happy customers and international recognition of DAKO’s quality.
To recently celebrate 25 years of business partnerships, we created a promotion, 'The DAKO Experts Team,’ with the winners being taken on a fantastic vacation to the United Arab Emirates.
Now both Studzinski brothers look back, acknowledging that passion, hard work, and determination pay off over time.
